Voices for Syria - The Onion Factory Camp

We will be creating a new section profiling the Onion Factory Camp and the people that live there very soon, but for now here is another photo we took while visiting the camp.

We were invited to eat dinner with the elders of the camp and took this photo shortly after. Their hospitality and desire to make us feel welcome were amazing.

Voices for Syria - The Onion Factory Camp

These are some of the kids living at the Onion Factory Camp in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. We met them during our trip to Bekaa and look forward to visiting them again very soon.

A small percentage of Syrian children are able to attend a few hours of school per day, most spend the days in the camps with little or no opportunity to continue their education.

Voices for Syria - Bekaa Valley Trip

We just spent a few days in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. We will be sharing more of the stories from this trip and profiling the camps we visited, but for now here is a photo of us with some of the kids from the "Onion Factory" camp.

This camp has a few dozen tents and is situated in and around an abandoned onion factory. There are countless camps like this one spread throughout Bekaa Valley. This is one of them.
